Update 26.1 - Articulation problems
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
Longtime Finale user (1980s) - always update - and always have problems. Just updated to 26.1.0.484 ... all the scores I have created up to this update only open with an older version (Finale 2014) - even though my last version was 25v and 26. I wouldn't complain but all the scores have alignment problems with articulations created with the ARTICULATION TOOL. It is frustrating to see an entire score with accents strewn all over the place that were once correct. I have checked all my settings - but obviously this is a glitch. Any suggestions? I'm not sure why my most recent documents are being opened by Finale 2014 anyway. It obviously can't read them correctly. Thanks in advance.

What option did you choose when asked how to convert the articulations upon opening the file? There are 2 options. Also, if you have a sample file from an earlier version that we could test for you, we might be able to help figure out a method to help in converting files to v26.

You should be able to choose which Finale version opens a Finale file by selecting the file in the Finder and keying Command I (that is letter I for Information not figure 1) then scrolling down the window that appears until your find the relevant mini-dialogue. There may be an irritating delay in getting there as the Finder tries unsuccessfully to display a preview of the file.
