Hello Finale users!
I need to write a F natural and a F sharp in the same bar.
Do you have any suggestion on how I can do it?

Thank you for your time and for your help! much appreciated!

Federico

Assuming you want an F natural followed by an F sharp, on the first F use Speedy and type *. That will cause the natural to appear.

I think you will have to be more specific.
"in the same bar"...
one after another?
or playing at exactly the same time?
in the same octave?
octaves apart?

Enter F/G flat. Show the natural on the F. With the Speedy Tool, place the crossbar on the G flat and press 9 for enharmonic.

And probably also in the same Layer (= as a dyad; two noteheads on the same stem), right?

Enter the dyad as a second = F♯ and G♮
Then select G♮, and move it down with the Arrow key, so that it becomes F♮.

Try this in Simple Entry:

Enter F#
Press 1 (on the QWERTY keyboard)

Zuill

P.S.: If F# is in the key signature, or you already have an F# earlier in the bar, then, after prssing 1, press the - (minus) key to get the natural. The # will also then appear on the other note, where the # didn't show originally.
