So exports ok, then there are a few numbers on bottom of page... a few 3's just there for no reason.

Is this a known issue?

This is a known issue. It is a result of using the built-in Export to pdf feature. That should be avoided. Instead, use the Print method, and choose a pdf printer. I use CutePDF.

Or, use the graphics tool, and export as PDF.

Unfortunately, the Graphics Tool pdf export has the same bug, so I would avoid that. I just tested it on a 3 page file, and the exact same triplet 3 appeared at the bottom of the page that appeared when I used the File Menu Export to pdf. Additionally, the 2 files exported from Finale were 266 kb. Printing to CutePDF created a file that was 59 kb, and it didn't have the erroneous 3 at the bottom of the page.

My suggestion: don't export with either option in Finale. Those are broken tools. Instead, Print to pdf.

MM needs to switch over to GhostScript (PDF renderer which CutePDF and other free PDF writers use).

The Graphics Tool to PDF route seems to work OK in the Mac version and gives a smaller file than does Print to PDF (on a Mac). Odd that something that's supposed to be cross-platform (PDF) seems variously unreliable in Finale.
