Hey guys, I've started using Finale for the first time in a few months, and some things, primarily inputting notes in Simply Entry (with the mouse) are incredibly slow. There is a huge lag after the click before the note shows up. The only thing I can think that has changed on my system is that it's my first time running Finale on Mojave. I'm running Mojave 10.14.5 and Finale 25.5.0.259. Is this a known problem?

You are right.
Finale 25 is very problematic.
However, the last version 26.1 works much faster except the slow "save" operation if you work on heavy projects.

There has been some talk about Macs with high resolution monitors slowing down Finale. The trick is to go out of hi-res mode. I don't have any experience in the matter, but it may be worth investigating.

Yes, this was addressed in 26 but getting out oh hi-res is recommended for 25 if you've a Retina monitor.

Something else you might try is going to System Preferences/Displays/Color and uncheck Show profiles for this display only. Click on any other profile such as Apple Cinema HD... and close the panel. Don't worry about which profile for now. This gets you out of 10 bit color which slows down many apps. The default stays on top if you want to switch back.

I do not experience a slow down on my iMac Pro so I can't duplicate the issue. Please report back one way or the other.
