Whenever I write out the most commonly played G chord on the guitar in musical notation (3-2-0-0-0-3) and drag it down to create guitar TAB, the program moves all the open strings to the same note but relocated on the next lower string. I constantly have to go in and drag this misplaced notes to the correct string. When the pop-up appears, asking me the lowest fret, I indicate "0." This makes no sense. Was the tuning for the guitar TAB programmed incorrectly, as the standard tuning for guitar is perfect fourths between strings 6-5, 5-4, 4-3 and 2 - 1 but a major third between 3-2? This is really annoying and causes a great deal of unnecessary editing...unnecessary if the program functioned properly. It isn't just the G chord with which this occurs...but this chord really demonstrates the problem.
Thanks bunches.
Do you know if Finale ever plans on fixing this? I started using Finale in 2007 and it has not been fixed.

Probably because they won’t hire anybody who knows how to fix it. And I really don’t think they care, as long as SmartMusic makes money in the education market.
