Thanks for adding me to the forum. If possible, I would like to know if someone can help me with a time signature problem. I have 2 songs I wrote and the music notation looks ok except for the time signature. I believe the time signature should be 3/4 not 6/8 and the other problem is one bar changes to 3/8 then back to 6/8.

I had help with the initial draft and I have tried repeatedly to correct the problem mentioned above. My objective is to have a printed copy I can hang on the wall of my office (man cave).

Both songs are posted on youtube

If anyone has a few minutes to spare and can have a look into this for me it would be very much appreciated. Both these songs are folk/country and not complicated. Both based on personal experience.

thanks Robin Bierworth

Take a look at the plug-in JW Meter and Rhythm

I'm not sure the plugin is needed. I would leave the pickup measure out of the main process and do that afterward, manually. First. I would change the meter to 3/4 WITHOUT rebarring. Than, I would use the utility to double the note values, and choose rebar at that point.

It was a little more work than I led on at first. But it is doable. I used this as an exercise to refresh some skills I had let lie dormant.

Thank you so much Zuill. I had hoped this would have been a quick fix and I do appreciate you taking the time to fix my mistakes. You have made my day. The corrected version looks perfect.

many many thanks Robin
