Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra

With the new BBC Symphony Orchestra Spitfire says it is a standalone VST plugin and not a Kontakt version. Does anyone know if it will work in finale? Would one use Aria Player to access the instruments?

They provide their own player, and it will work with Finale like any other VSTi. No, Aria won't play it.

I have tried this but I am struggling to play separate sections of the orchestra on each staff

staff-1 violin
staff-2 violin 2
staff-3 viola,
staff-4 cello

It appears that the settings are linked and as soon as I change the second staff, or the cello staff it resets the others staffs to cello too, I have played around with midi channels to see if that is the way but as of yet I don't appear to have a solution.

So in summary it would appear that I have only one instance of BBCSO (Discover) which is being simultaneously referenced by all four tracks.

BBCSO requires 1 vst per instrument, and since Finale only has 8 slots it only makes sense to use this Orchestra with Finale if you can host it in Vienna Ensemble Pro...
