Hello All
From what I remember, Finale on PC used to have a fixed interface, in which the palettes were not movable. In Mac, annoyingly, this is not the case. They are free floating and it creates quite an annoying workflow.

Is there anyway/option to change the way the work interface is (i.e. creating a fixed space for each individual palette)?

By dragging the lower right corner of a palette you can customize the palette’s shape, and e. g. change it from a vertical palette (2 x 10 icons) to a horizontal palette (10 x 2 icons).

By dragging the title bar you can drag a palette around, and position it on the screen where you prefer it.

Also, you can customise the document window’s size and position on the screen.

When everything is resized and positioned as needed, Save Preferences (at the bottom of the File menu).

Finale will remember your customisation.
