Hi all,
Just wondering if any people here routinely fingerpoke with the Music Spacing Libraries, or do you just rely on the Utilities>Note Spacing>Apply Note Spacing... The manual suggests that:

"By spacing your music with the aid of a Music Spacing Library, you can create extremely professional-looking scores, which are neither wider nor narrower than they need to be. See Finale Libraries for more Music Spacing Libraries."

I've never fingerpoked music spacing libraries, but occasionally I find that neither note, beat or time sig spacing options offer me a spacing solution for some particularly complicated bars. I end up going in manually with the note mover tool.

Here is a picture of the note spacing libraries from the manual.

If you want to investigate the subject, the JW Note Spacing plug-in could be worth a look.

The libraries are just various presets of the various settings in Document Options / Music Spacing, which are consulted whenever you space music. If you want to see what they do, load them and see how the values change (be sure to look at Spacing Widths) as well.
