Is it me and my current setup or are two of the Display Color options broken in the preferences window!??

Unchecking "Use Score Colors" does NOT turn off the colors in the file at all.

Checking "Layer Colors Apply to All Layer Items" does NOT display any items according to their layer color.

"Color Unlinked Items" option appears to work fine though in either checked or unchecked state.

Can someone else confirm or deny this behavior? I'm using Finale 26.1 (but it's the same with 25.5) on OSX 10.14.6 Mojave.

Thanks!

For me using Finale 26.1 on Mojave the display colours behave as they are supposed to: I've just gone through your steps and they work as expected.

EDIT: Ah! not quite. ‘Layer Colours apply to All Layer Items’ seems to apply in some bars but not in others. Strange!

These all work properly on my setup, too (Finale 25.5). I suggest you check your preference file as follows:

Nope. That didn't fix it. I tried resetting the preferences and then I tried trashing the preferences. Neither of those things fixed it.

You might have to send that in to tech support.

Does it happen with all files?
