Does this happen to anyone else? Every time I switch from Speedy to another tool, this happens and I have to update the screen in order to set it right. Ideas?

Thanks,
David

Are you really using 2014 and not 2014.5? And what Mac OS are you using?

Hey Bill...my signature should be correct: iMac 5k 2017, 3.4GHz, Intel Core i5, OS 10.14.2, Finale 26

Not 2014.

You have an Update Layout issue. Go to Preferences > Edit and make sure Automatic Update Layout is checked. This will largely eliminate the screen drawing problem you picture. However, occasionally it's necessary to manually update. Press Command/U to do this.

Turning off "Automatic Update Layout" really should be removed from Finale entirely.

Thank you, N. Done. Hopefully that'll solve it.

Yes, I do Command U like breathing these days. LOL

Why did you turn Automatic Update Layout off, out of curiosity? I never have to type Ctrl-U, though I'm on Windows.

Even with Automatic Update Layout on, there are times I need to manually update the layout. One situation is when respacing systems. If it respaces systems which formerly covered three pages, and they now fit onto two pages, the third page is still there (blank) until I update the layout. This does not occur 100% of the time, but often enough.
