I just want to make sure I am to blame and not the program: Regarding the default document settings: has the hairpin opening changed for any of you? I don't recall messing around with the settings concerning this, although it looks as if the opening (the gap) of short hairpins and long hairpins are not the same, as they should be...? It is easy to fix on a document level, but is this a bug?

This actually is a feature, introduced in Finale 25. If you select the Smart Shape tool, go to the menu bar and look under Smart Shape Options. You will see the settings for the openings on short wedges and the length that decides when to use the smaller opening.

If you don't like this, go to your default document and reset the settings. Then, every new file you start will use your preferred settings.
