I'm trying to use the TG Tools "easy tremolo" for some string parts. I select the region and click the plug-in, but it doesn't enter the articulation nor affect the playback. I get the original window for the plug-in, then nothing.

I've checked my plug-ins folder in Application Support and the plug-in (bundle) appears as its supposed to. The JW plug-in for tremolos will not load, probably because his plug-ins have not been updated to the current versions.

Which kind of tremolo do you want, A or B? TGTools is for A; JW Yaddah Tremolo is for B, but it merely pretties-up existing articulations--it doesn't add them. Use the Articulation tool first.

If that doesn't address your problem, post a screen shot.

Tremolo "B". Also, I can't get the JW plug-in to show up in the menu, even though I've downloaded it and it is in the correct folder.

You don't need the JW plug-in, but quit and restart Finale after adding a plug-in.. For triple slashes like the above, go to the Articulation tool, press 8, and click on a single note or draw a box around a group of notes with the mouse.

That's how I have always entered the articulation. When I look at the tremolo articulation properties, under "playback" it says "none".

Most, if, not all, of Jari’s plug-ins have been updated. Go to his site, and look for the 64-bit versions.

Tremolo playback is implemented by the Human Playback settings in the playback controls. Make sure you are using Human Playback. JW Yada Yada Tremolo doesn't affect playback.

"Playback effect" in the articulation design only does a few simple things, not including tremolo. Having playback controlled in different places is confusing, I agree.

Thanks for the help. I will rely on the "wire band" to make it happen.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!
