In the Libraries folder there's a file called 'Boulez.lib'. Not sure why I never noticed it before and certainly not sure if I'll ever have any use for it, but merely out of curiosity I tried to load that library into a Finale document. I won't. Finale claims it "cannot open the selected filetype". Needless to say my curiosity only doubles because of that. On one hand I'm even more curious what it comprises and one the other hand I'm wondering why MakeMusic delivers a library with Finale which Finale can't open.

Does anyone have a clue (or a working library)?

I don't have such a file in Finale 2014.5.

Perhaps it's an oversight.

There is a Boulez music font. Boulez.lib is presumably a document settings library to be used in conjunction with the font. I have no Boulez stuff in my installs for Finale 2012, 25 and 26.

It's a mystery.

It is in the Elbsound free font package. Perhaps Jay downloaded that and forgot.

I indeed do not remember downloading and installing the Elbsound fonts, but a quick check learned that I do have the Aruvarb font (e.g.) on my system, so that must be the case. Still odd that it comes with a library for Finale that Finale can't open.
Thanks for the reminder.

The Boulez.lib file has never been a part of the Elbsound Music Fonts Package.
But indeed Boulez.lib comes with the original Boulez font package which can be downloaded here:
