Hello,

I upgraded to v. 26, and I am having an issue I never had in v. 25 regarding the playback. Whenever I try to make Finale play my piece back, as the green line scrolls through the music, a white-area follows it, so I can't actually see the music it is playing back. The white area moves in real-time right behind the scroll bar. I am unable to attach a screen-shot because it disappears when I use the snipping tool, so I hope you can get a sense of what I am saying. Any help is appreciated and much needed!

Thank you so much!

Have you restarted the computer? This often clears up display problems.

If that doesn’t help, go to the Finale website, log in to your account, and submit a ticket.

Also, try playing back in Scroll View if you're trying to do Page View (of course, the latter should work, but this might get you by).

The White-Out is a result of scrolling with the mouse during playback. It happens in all views. One of the quirks of Finale.

"The White-Out is a result of scrolling with the mouse during playback"

How is that done?
I assume you don't mean clicking with the Mouse to start Playback,
which is the only way I know...

It happens when you scroll the score up or down with the mouse wheel, only if you use Human Playback. It will stop once you have reached the end of the screen and have passed on to next window page.
When you are not using Human Playback it doesn't happen (and you can't scroll up or down)
