I can't figure this out. For some strange reason, suddenly Finale 2014 (Windows) won't copy music and insert it into another staff. It just started doing this about a week ago. I've been using it for years, and everything else works fine. But for some strange reason, it will not copy music. Can anyone help me? Does this have to do with a Windows 10 update?

It could. Can you roll back and see if it starts working again?

Make sure the Filter is set to All.

Also, you can only use "Insert" with a "Stack Selection" (first thru last score staves). Use copy and paste on single staves.

It is also possible to make a Stack Selection of fewer than all the document’s staves - even a Stack Selection of a single staff.
The secret is that you must create a staff set of the staff (staves).

It's likely not due to a Windows upgrade. Check the suggestions above, try rebooting, and if none of it helps, try resetting the preferences file.

Insert doesn't require a stack selection. Insert can be done on an individual staff.

Well, it was a simple fix. (I feel embarrassed. ) Not having used this particular computer for a while, the filter had been set to copy only Smart Shapes. (Duh!) Thanks michelp for the reminder to check the filter. And thanks all others for the kind answers.
