Hello all. Long time. I hope you have been well. Been doing more producing/performing/recording than composing lately.

Can anyone tell me why I can't seem to edit specified placement of a repeat?

M 46 forward repeat won't let me touch it.

M 48 backward repeat has the "show on" all greyed out.

Does it have anything to do with that I have separate time signatures?

It worked with the harp, but I want to change this bit to marimba.

Here's a dropbox to the file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ger3mhqgcb4o3 ... .musx?dl=0
and another screen shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5svo3t6ctv4rv ... M.png?dl=0

Thanks in advance.

PS: The piece is for big band, here being transcribed for orchestra, but only about 10% of the orchestration done, so withhold judgement.

You are talking about the Forward Repeat Bar, right? (I could not find any other repeats in measure 46)

I am not sure I understand, what you mean?

By default a Forward Repeat Bar is placed at the beginning of a measure.
- Do you need to place the Forward Repeat Bar later in M 46?
- Do you need to move the Forward Repeat Bar to another measure?

Some of the staves do not display the Forward Repeat Bar - due to a custom staff style.
But that is not the issue, I suppose?

Probably because it is a Backward Repeat Bar.
If I Recall Correctly, all Backward Repeat Bars have “Show On” greyed out.

What is the problem you are trying to solve?

Thank you. To clarify, I am trying to edit which staves the repeat appears on, not where in the bar it appears.

You can hide an individual repeat ending with a Staff Style applied to the measure the repeat appears in. In the style designer box deactivate "Items to Display - Repeat Ending".

Thank you. That should work. I see that I do have that in the other staves.

Incidentally, why can't I have staff lists for this?

As I mentioned in my previous post, some of the staves do not display the Forward Repeat Bar - due to a custom staff style.
Remove that staff style, and the repeat bars will display.

Tip:
Staff Tool.
Staff menu > Show Staff Styles (select this)
Staff menu > Show Staff Style Names (select this)
Do not worry! They will display only in the Staff Tool.
