Using System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts for Finale, what is the trick to making a Short Cut for a tool that has an expansion triangle, such as Simple Entry or Smart Shapes?

Just include the name of the lowest level. For instance, with the Simple Entry tool, you can use "Repitch". That will allow you to select the repitch function with the keyboard shortcut.

You can't make "Simple Entry" into a keyboard shortcut itself because you can't even select it manually.

Thanks, Nick.

Of course, once you go to, for instance, "Repitch" then everything in Simple is available.

Thanks again.
