Someone on Facebook reported this problem. The measures here are all identical. But look what happens to the spacing in the top staff when the one-bar-repeat staff style is applied and things are respaced. I only ever use one-bar repeats on single parts, but it shouldn't do this.

In Music Spacing Options, uncheck "Avoid Collisions of - Hidden Notes".

I'll pass that on. But I don't understand it. Why don't the notes collide--whatever that means!--when they're not hidden?
