See attached picture - I'm in the key of A major and I want to indicate an Ab7(#11) but it's only giving me G#(#11). I tried the Speedy Entry suggestion offered by this link (https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Fin ... onics3.htm) but it didn't work. Can a Finale Jedi master somewhere help me figure this out??

Or, leave Simplify Spelling selected, and enter the chord root as Bbbb (Yes, triple flat!).
Then, the Simplify Spelling will change Bbbb to Ab.
And why would you leave Simplify Spelling selected?
Because you can not fully control the spelling af Capo Chords, if Simplify Spelling is de-selected.
If you have no Capo Chords in the Finale document, then it is not necessary to have Simplify Spelling selected.
By The Way:
The manual section you quote, is not about chord symbols, but rather about (written) note chords.
