Is there no way to edit the Rehearsal Marks Category so that all new rehearsal marks automatically have an enclosure around them? I can't find that option when I choose Rehearsal Marks: Edit Categories. That seems crazy, so I must be missing something.
I'm having to duplicate one that I have already created that has an enclosure. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it seems that there has to be a way to automatically have enclosures included.
Also, I don't want to use the auto-sequenced option, because it always starts with A, and my rehearsal letters are continuous through a four-movement piece.
Thanks,
Mark

Expression Selection > Rehearsal Marks>Edit > uncheck Use Auto-Sequencing Style
This should do it. There you can also edit/include an Enclosure (Enclosure Shape > Edit) and you can hide measure numbers from showing where you add a rehearsal mark.

Thanks, all, for your help!
It would be nice if Finale would enable setting the enclosure in advance as part of the Edit Rehearsal Marks category!

It would, but again, are you sure you need a lot of different rehearsal marks? I believe auto-sequence can be made to work for you (you can start at other than A, as I said), and it's a lot easier to apply them since you can define a single metatool.

If you have a rehearsal mark already defined that has an enclosure, merely duplicate it and make any necessary edits to the definition of the duplicate mark.

Thanks! That's what I did. It was easy enough to do, but it still seems odd to me that you can't just set it in advance for all Rehearsal Marks, as one can do for so many other Expressions.

I'll definitely apply that to the next piece. Thanks!
