Hi all!

I'm trying to import SMFs from Logic Pro (10.2.4) into Finale 2014.5. Each time, the piano track in the resulting Finale file is a single bass clef, rather than the standard piano staves. How do I get Finale to put the piano tracks from the SMF into the standard two staves?

I've double-checked, and the piano tracks in Logic are set to two staves. The show correctly in Logic, just not in Finale.

Thanks for your help!

You could split the one staff to two staves in Finale, but - assuming the left/right hand split is already done in the Logic tracks - try setting the two Logic tracks to different MIDI channels before exporting. This way, Finale treats the two tracks as seperate instruments.

That's a good idea. I'll try that. Thanks!
