Smart Shape Tool.
Select the slur handle.
Smart Shape menu > Direction > Flip

Note the keyboard shortcut (shown in the sub-menu), and remember the shortcut.

From the SmartShape tool, right click on that handle and pick Direction/Flip. I'm not sure it looks any better, though. Since it's non-divisi and tremolo, you may be able to get away with just eliminating the tie and maybe even the slur--the tied-to note is going to be bowed (but I am not a violinist)!

...Peter beat me to it (no shortcut in Windows).

I just click on the Slur Handle and press "F" on the Keyboard.
It flips.

Why not try it? It works for slurs.

Look in the "Help" menu for "Keyboard Shortcuts". Lots of interesting stuff in there. Also, right click on any item in a score to get a contextual menu that will modify the entry in various ways.

Then the route is:

1) click on the Slur (Tie) Handle

2) press ctrl + "F" on the Keyboard.

It flips.
