I know how to place instrument names on linked parts, and even how to have instrument names repeated on each page in parts with multiple pages. BUT . . . here's a situation I can't figure out. I recently upgraded to Finale 26, and created a score (Handel's Overture to Samson) with linked part. When I was editing the parts I noticed (for the first time) that each part had not only the title of the piece printed on each page (in the score and linked parts), but also the instrument name and the page number of the individual part, all laid out in this format: "Overture to Samson, Violin I, p.2" (or p.3, etc). I did not create this set up - as far as I know - but I cannot find the place in Finale where this setup originates from. One thing to note - when I click on the handle for this part title on the second, third, fourth pages, the text box opens up, but there are other insert boxes nestled within the main text box, which contain the instrument name, and the page number. Can someone tell me how this is happening, and how I can create this set up on my own for other pieces that I create.
Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, there are two separate questions in your post:

1) How to make the contents in the Text Block.

2) How to make a Text Block display on all pages from Page 2 and onwards.

Regarding 1):
The secret is that you must use some special Text Inserts.
For the contents
"Overture to Samson, Violin I, p.2"
the steps are these:

Text menu > Inserts > Title
comma
Spacebar
Text menu > Inserts > Part/Score name
comma
Spacebar
p
.
Text menu > Inserts > Page Number

NB: To edit a Text Insert, go to
ScoreManager > File Info

Regarding 2):
(being in the Text Tool)
Drag-select the handle on the Text Block, and go to
Text menu > Frame Attributes…
(or get there faster via the shortcut Shift-Return)

You get to the dialog box Frame Attributes where you can specify a Page Range in the pop up menu at the top.
Example (all pages from Page 2 and onwards):
Page Range 2 Through (enter nothing in this last field)

That is fabulous! Thank you so much. That so very nicely streamlines all that important information into one easy block of text.
I'm so appreciative of your knowledge and generosity!
Stay well and have a great day,
Vinny
