Hello,

I was creating a piece in v. 26, and I went to go put in the second layer, and when I did, it just put it under the first layer. I was wondering if there was any way to make the music spacing adjust so that there is no overlap between my layers. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I'm having a hard time visualizing your question. Could you please post a screenshot of the problem?

If you want something like this

then set the Music Spacing option: Avoid collision of unisons: All noteheads

I tried the music spacing dialogue box and I was unsuccessful, but thank you.

Right--this is not a unison. You could flip the 16th stems, or manually move the whole note.

The upper note(s) should be in layer 1, the lower in layer 2. That way, stem directions are correct.

If you happen to have written a lot already with the music in the wrong layers, there's a simple way to swap them:
> Edit > Move/Copy Layers > check the first two options > click OK.
