Hello,
I am trying to create a piano piece where I have a holding whole note (sustained by the pedal) with a double-hand scale on top of it. Since the pitches I am trying to use are in completely different ranges, I was wondering if there was any way to make seperate clefs for the different layers.
Thank you!
Different Clefs for Different Layers

Does the scale come after the sustained whole notes (or before)? If so, then you can do a mid-measure clef change.
Using the clef tool, just highlight the part of the music in the new clef and hit enter. Then, click the desired clef. The result will look something like this.
If the scale and the sustained notes happen at the same time, it might be best to just expand the music out into three staves.

You can also do this or a variation of it. The bass clef is a text expression and the bracket a custom smart shape.
