Good morning,

I am currently trying to create a score in which verses and choruses are linearly posed one after the other. It is a single voice score where you have Introduction+FirstVerse+SecondVerse+Chorus+ThirdVerse+Chorus+Interludium+FinalChorus.

What I have done, since there is one voice, is to type all the text on one line, but when turning on auto-number verses, it clearly only recognises only one verse.

Is there a way to tell Finale the boundaries of each part? (something like 1st verse from Measure 1 to Measure 10, 2nd verse from Measure 11 to Measure 20 and so on)

Thanks in advance.

If I understand your question correctly, I would just type the verse number as part of the lyric. You'll need to use a hard space so the number and first syllable remain stuck together on a note.

This is not automatic...are you saying that there is no way of making Finale do it?

Would you also expect it to automatically recognize the difference between verse 2 and the chorus? That's what rehearsal numbers and text inserts are for.
