Is there a way to have a bunch of text boxes all align horizontally? Say for performance instructions or annotation for analysis. There's probably a JW plugin for this but perhaps its built into Finale somewhere.

Double click on the ruler at far left or top of screen and a guide line appears. Right click on the triangular guide handle and select "Snap to Guides". The text box handles will snap to the guide and be aligned.

Awesome! So once everything is snapped, can you adjust the grid line and have the text go with i?

Once you snap them, you'll have to move them with the arrow keys. Draw a lasso around the handles to select them all and nudge up or down.
