Hello,
I am running Finale 2014.5 on a Mac using OS High Sierra 10.13.6
I'm trying to create a page in Finale where the top half of the page is two columns of text, and the bottom half of the page is music. I can't figure out how to make this happen...can anyone offer some guidance?

Thanks,
BugleMe

It might be easier to export the music as a graphic and do your text in a word processor or desktop publishing application and import the music there.

I'm getting the impression that Finale doesn't have very strong page layout chops.
I am enclosing a screen shot of what I'm trying to do, but my work around yields grainy results in the text.

You can do it with two text blocks.
One text block for the left column, and another text block for the right column.

Here is Peter's 2 text box suggestion. You can replicate the example you picture but you might have to spend a few hours of self-instruction mastering Finale's limitations and developing a workflow. There is a Finale file attached with some tips.

Thank you all for your suggestions!!! Doing it with 2 text blocks set up as columns was the best work around by far!
Setting up the text first in Word and then copy & pasting into Finale's text block was fairly straight forward and easy.
Just a lot of nudging and futzing to get things just right.

Thanks again for the suggestions!!!
