Hello,

I use Finale 25 and am trying to figure out how to implement other types of instrument techniques in my playback, specifically the "col legno" effect. I see it in my playback preferences folder with all of the Garritan magic, but I don't know understand what keyswitches are and how they are used to implement the effect. Who knows the steps on how to do this?

Are you using GPO5 or GIfF?

I think I have both...I use GIfF (my only option other than Smartmusic Softsynth and Aria Player in device), but I also see settings from GPO5 in my human playback preferences. There's something for Col Legno highlighted in this picture.

Whatever Garritan library(ies) came with Finale 25 is what I have.

GIfF comes with Finale. GPO5 costs extra. HP preferences have settings for GPO5, in case you decide to buy it. The GIfF samples don't have the ability to do col legno.
