I upgraded from win 25 to win 26 recently. Noticed that my files are being saved as bak. files instead of finale notation files now. How can I do a save as and change those to notation files.
Thanks for any help.
George

By default, when you edit a .musx file and then save it, Finale will rename the old one as .bakx and then save the new one. Perhaps this is what you're seeing. It a good feature.

I'll just leave well enough alone if the I'll be able to work on the bakx at a later time. I was just worried about being able to open it again later.
Thanks Motet.

Just change the suffix .bakx to .musx, and they will open as Finale files.
