one of 5 staff lines doing weird thing.
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
I have a score of 5 instruments, 2 violins, 2 violas, and a cello.
The 4th Instrument (the second viola) instead of playing the notes as scored, is playing a variety of percussion instruments....?????
Ive attached the score with only the second viola playing, the other 4 are muted out.
Any ideas????

Nothing is muted, but the second viola seems OK, though I didn't make it all the way through. So perhaps it's a set-up thing rather than something wrong with the file.
Don't use channel 10, which could cause what you describe.

Well, I found the solution.....Under midi/audio , I changed the selection from "Play Finale thru MIDI" to "Play Finale thru Audio Units"
and lo and behold.....even though I have no idea what I did, and right now I don't care.
Gentlemen, thank you both.
Cheers
