I bought a laptop. Completely new to that.
measure 3, top voice: I'd like to beam the 4 eights under the same flag or tail.
I tried with CTRL + T, SHIFT + T, CTRL + =, SHIFT + =, CTRL +/, SHIFT + / with no results

I appreciate your always valuable help

Sounds like you want to beam the four eighths together. Nothing to do with ties. Put the cursor on the third eighth note of the bar and press /. You might have to press it twice.

Looking more closely at the picture, it seems you have a non-English keyboard, which is going to be a problem. Try the key just to the left of the right "Pausa" key. If that doesn't work, try the Simple menu: Simple->Simple Edit Commands->Modify Entry->Break/Join Beam.

No. It says "too many beats".
The way you say works in the computer but not in this laptop

Please see the topic "Simple Entry Laptop Set" on the following page:

When in doubt, first search in the User Manual!

Laptops use their own shortcut set.

Simple Entry menu > Simple Entry Options > Edit Keyboard Shortcuts

In the next screen, choose Laptop Set (or whatever it says) Then, you can look at the list, and see the assigned shortcuts. However, since you are using a Spanish keyboard, you will probably have to do some experimenting.

Thank you, all of you 3,
I found it changing tie to beam in the simple menu, after motet told me about my mistake
The route is:

1) Click the note
2) Simple menu/Simple edit comands/Modify Entry/Break-Join Beam/c cedilla
