I'm trying to report all the bugs I can. I've got Finale 26 but have not installed it since I'm in the middle of a big project and I'm wary of it breaking something (even if I keep the old program, which I always do).

On the off chance that they've fixed a bug I notice in Finale 2014.5 on Windows, if someone could confirm the bug still exists, that would be great.

First off:

Preferences/Display colors

If I uncheck Use score colors and click Apply, nothing happens--layer 2 stays red, for example; I must click OK and close the dialog for it to take effect (sometimes I want to turn off score colors, take a screen capture, then turn it right back on, so it would be nice to leave the dialog open). If Use score colors was initially unchecked, however, then Apply does work.

Same behavior in v26. Old bugs die hard.

Thanks, Zuill!

Here's another. The tremolos here were made from tuplets of two eighths in the space of 7 32nds. May or may not be strictly Kosher, but I think the notation is perfectly readable and clear.

It doesn't copy right, as you can see. Even worse, if you Undo, the notes are gone forever. I've attached the before-copy file.

That is pretty strange. Could the overlapping of the 2 tuplets be the cause?

That's a good theory. The tremolo tool adds the "1" tuplet and hides the number and bracket. I guess that's to get the beams.

I should have written this. It has the same problem.

I did figure out how to do it without the duplet. The note values before applying the plug-in are double-dotted sixteenths. After the plug-in, the tremolos are dotted, of course, but you can move them off the page. This one copies correctly, but the other is still a bug!
