Some here may remember past discussions on how to do this:
Drawing on an idea of Robert Patterson, I hit on the following. Robert's method employs 1-lets, which don't copy correctly in Finale, but I've managed to do it without. The final red note is a thirty-second; I made it's broken beam go away by making it length 0 with the beam extension tool. In the final product, of course, one would hide the rest and tuplet information and break the beams.
Copies and plays back correctly. What do you think?
The solutions involved moving rests off the page and setting the option "Extend secondary beams over rests", but the latter results in this unfortunate effect for this rhythm:
Other solutions involved extending the sixteenth beams to overlap such that a changing measure width woudn't mess things up, but nothing was satisfactory.Interleaved up- and down-stem sixteenths

Isn't it easier just using the beam extension tool and not having to invoke the beam over rest option? It just seems that the tuplet approach is a lot more work.
