Hi, could anyone tell me how I can insert 2 identical Notes with different accidentals at the same time?
(a chord with f.e. Both a c-natural and a c-sharp).
Thanks,
Accidentals in a chord

In simple entry, enter the first note, then press 1 on the top row of the keyboard, which will enter another of the same pitch on the same beat. You can then move between the two and use + and - on the keypad to make the accidentals.

Koen Plaetinck,
Since you are asking, I suspect that you are using Speedy Entry, right?
The trick motet mentions, only works in the Simple Entry Tool.
In the Speedy Entry Tool you can enter the two notes as a second.
Then, drag the “incorrect” note vertically.

I am unable to reproduce that problem.Koen Plaetinck wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 7:40 pmGreat! Thanks, this works as a charm. Just have to add the show Courtesy accidentals and i’m all set.
I suppose that you are talking about the plug-in, right?
Using the plug-in should not be necessary.
When ever you have a chord with, on the same stem, two noteheads on the same scale step, and different accidentals (like both a C♮ and a C♯), Finale by default should display both accidentals.
At least, that is what always happens for me.
But from your description it sound like one of the accidentals is missing, right?
This is a serious problem.
1) Are you sure that the two notes really are a C♮ and a C♯ ?
2) Can you provide steps to reproduce the problem ?
