Chord Definition Dialogue Box Crashes Finale 26.3
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
It seems as though if you manually change something in the Chord Definition Dialogue Box and click OK Finale now crashes. If you change something and then make sure that the top box where it says "Chord Symbol:" is highlighted after you make the change elsewhere (in other words you have to go and click on that box again) then it doesn't crash.
Can anyone else confirm this behavior? (Or is it just me...!?)

I saw a post on the official MakeMusic forum regarding v26.3 crashing with the Chord Tool. I use Windows and you use Mac, so I would be curious if this is on both platforms. The poster on the "other" forum didn't mention the platform used, so I am waiting to install finale v26.3 until I get more information. It would be good to have a mac and a Win user check this behavior.
In their Read Me for v26.3, I see a mention of something being fixed regarding the Chord Tool. Sometimes when they "fix" things, other things get "broken". version 26.2 is proof of that. Fortunately, the 2 HUGE bugs there were fixed quickly with a Hot-Fix.

You should report it to MakeMusic.
Mac OS X 12.6.9 (Monterey), Finale user since 1996
Thanks for confirming the issue Peter.
Reported it this morning, waiting to hear back.
In the meantime I did update Catalina to 10.15.5 and I trashed the Finale Preferences to see if either of those things would solve the problem... they did not. Same (consistent) behavior.
We'll see what MakeMusic has to say.
Thanks again.

I'm on Windows, so I reported it this morning with the question to them whether this is Mac only, or Windows as well. I don't want to update until this and other issues are resolved. This reminds me of the release of v26.2, which then had a quick hot-fix release.

This issue is not a Windows issue; it is Mac only (and only on Mac OS X versions 10.14 and 10.15).
