Hi,
Being in C-major key, Chord tool. entering C#m7 with MIDI Piano, it gets spelled as a Dbm7.
Is there a way to quickly respell a chord, à la "Enharmonic Respell, keypad "9" in Speedy Entry"?
Thanks,
apkyburz

In Windows, if the cursor is above or below the notes of the chord, using Ctrl-9 does it in Speedy. I think there is a Mac equivalent.

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about chord symbols in the Chord Tool, right?
If it is just a single chord symbol, then I would use the Chord Tool feature Type Into Score to change the symbol to C#m7.
Takes just a few seconds.
If it is a long string of chord symbols, then use the Selection Tool to select the region, and try
Utilities menu > Change > Chords…
If you transpose down by a diminished second, then Dbm7 will become C#m7.
To speed up the Utility change (= transpose down by a diminished second), use a FinaleScript script.

Sorry. I didn't read carefully. When it mentioned Enharmonic in Speedy, I was thinking notes, not symbols.

Hi Jan, film cue reduction stuff; we're in D but it's all keyless.
Awesome, thx Peter.Peter Thomsen wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 2:42 pmIf it is a long string of chord symbols, then use the Selection Tool to select the region, and try
