Bug confirmed by PC and Mac users of Finale 26 :
Try this :
1) Repeat Tool : add a repeat text (such as D.C. al Coda)
2) Measure Tool : for that measure, set width to 0
3) Click on the Repeat Tool
Finale quits.

Can confirm in Windows. Old bug, I guess. I tested this in 2011, 2014.5, v25 and v26. All versions tested cause this crash. So, it is an old bug. If you report it, then maybe it can be fixed in a v26 update release. Maybe nobody has ever reported or even noticed this.

I received the information from a user who wanted to insert an empty measure but didn't explain the reason...

I just ran across a post about this from the official MakeMusic forum from about 4 months ago. It seems MakeMusic is well aware of this (it's in their FAQs) and have chosen to leave it as a "surprise feature", I guess.
