Just need some help with Kontakt and VET

Hello,
I'm on Windows 10 and the latest version of Finale.
Recently bought Virtual Ensemble Trilogy and also installed Kontakt. I've been getting the above message when accessing the VST Banks & Effects option. I've pointed to the correct plugin folder, but I'm still wondering what's going on.
I can force my way to some success with the brass patches by using ScoreManager, but I'm curious if this is how I'll have to do it forever?
I know switches are a thing, but I can't even get some percussion instruments to play right at all.
For the record, I can open Kontakt within Finale, but I'm very lost as to what things should look and feel like.
