Can I apply Special Tools Custom Stems to a region and not just a single measure?

I need to remove any note stems present for certain types of music. Finale provides for this by use of Tools -> Advanced Tools -> Special Tools -> Custom Stem. However, this only works for a single measure of a single staff at a time. It becomes quite tedious to do this over and over for every measure where I need to apply this style. And I do this frequently, so I'd like to find a more efficient way, if possible.

Is there a workaround? Examples:
  • A way to apply Custom Stem to a region of measures
  • A different approach, such as entering stem-less notes in the first place, rather than removing the stems the notes are entered
  • Some other option?
Thanks!

Bruce

Jari's JW Change plugin has a feature to Hide stems. Try that.

And there is a "Stemless Notes" staff style which can be applied to a selected region.

@michelp -- And this approach gives identical results, too. Also, thanks!!
