Hi all,
When scoring for one instrument + piano, is it a good idea to use boxed rehearsal marks like A B C, etc. throughout the score? On page 520 of Gould, she refers to their usage, so I guess they are deigned useful. I do have bar numbers at the beginning of each system.
Cheerio,
Hector Pascal.

As far as I know, there's no 'rule' against rehearsal marks in chamber music with few instruments. On the other hand they are not as needed there, since the rehearsal situation is much less stressful - lesser demands on time-efficiency, less people to take in the information: "Let's play from..." A measure number would do fine, I would think.
