Hi,

I have a collection of pieces with titles and subtitles. The pieces are saved in separate finale documents. I want to make sure the height of the title and the subtitle are the same in each document. How do I do this?

Thank you,
--Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I select the little handle of the text box and go to Text menu > Frame Attributes. I then make sure to use the same settings in the vertical and horizontal for each different file that I want to make consistent. Don't forget, you can also take advantage of view menu > ruler, too, if you just want to do it all by eye. Someone else might have a better way,...!
Cheers,
Hector Pascal.

If you have a large number of files, I would recommend using FinaleScript. It would speed up the process immensely.

You mean a page with no music on it? I would not use Finale to do that. I use Word or Publisher and Photoshop.

No, I mean FinaleScript: http://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Fina ... nalescript

I have found that I use FinaleScript more and more, and I save a lot of time using it. It may be a stretch to learn if you would learn it for just one occasion, but if you learn to use it it is a very powerful tool to automate a lot of processes in Finale. You can also process many documents in one run. For convenience you can copy/paste strings of example tasks from the Finale Users Manual or from the sample scripts found in the FinaleScript palette. This is also a useful guide: https://www.rpmseattle.com/of_note/simp ... lescripts/

How many scores do you have?

My reply was to the OP, not addressing using Finale script. Finale's text editing abilities are far too limited to make title or cover pages if that is what the OP is after.
