Slow playbackslow reproduction, does not match the time set
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
In some parts that I create in Finale v. 25.5, the playback does not correspond to the time set for the metronome. For example, I have a part where I set a quarter note equal to 90, but it is played at 40 when I play it. Any value that I put on the playback control is useless, it continues to be reproduced at 40. How can I fix this? I'm using Finale Mac v. 25.5. But even when I was using v. 2012, this sintom happened some times. Any help? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like there is MIDI Tempo data hard-wired into the score. Or, maybe there is an Expression with a tempo definition.

Could it be related to the expression definition? Try editing the expression marking using the expression tool (eg. metronome quarter = 90) and see if you can tick the box so that the expression plays the tempo specified by the expression.
Just a thought... Good luck!

(unless you have programmed some very specific MIDI info that you want to retain)
Select All > right click > Clear Selected Items > None > MIDI Data (check all) > OK
that should do it
and, as Hector, suggested, check if the expression is really set to play back at that tempo
