Slash Notation Hides Slur in Normal Notation

I'm writing a rhythm chart that I want to also include some "licks" for the player. If I put a slur on the notated passage (1st image) and change the rest of the measure to Slash Notation (2nd image), the slur disappears. It isn't deleted, it's just hidden. If I remove the slash notation, the slur shows again. I have confirmed that the notated part is in "Normal Notation" and only the sections before and after are in slash notation. I know that Slash Notation doesn't allow smart shapes, but it seems to be affecting sections that aren't in Slash Notation. I'm using Finale 26.3.1.643 in Mac OS 10.15.6. Is this a bug, or is there something else I need to do?

This is a longstanding and known bug. One quick solution I know of is to apply a beat attached slur instead of a note attached slur.

I am reviving this Topic as I have noticed a Topic on the "official" MakeMusic forum that is 4 years old, recently revived, that has been exploring this same defect with combining normal notation with slash notation and slurs disappearing. I hope someone "over there" may see this and find what I think is an easier workaround to a known bug.
I don't post on that forum, for a myriad of reasons, and my list of objections to the format have been officially discussed with the powers-that-be at MakeMusic. They said they would consider my objections and suggestions. Basically, I recommended they look at this forum as a model for what works much better. So far, I haven't seen any changes over there.

you could also attach the slur to the last note in the preceding measure, and then extend/drag it to the first note in the measure with the slash notation

I found another workaround. This is a problem when slash notation goes to the end of a measure. I found that if I select a sliver between the last slash in a measure and the measure line, I can clear staff styles and the slur appears and the last slash is intact. The second measure shown has no adjustments nor workarounds.

I was trying to use slash notation to achieve a shorthand for a repeated figure, but the music spacing algorithm behaved as if the slash notation wasn't there, and the spacing was the same after applying. I ended up writing quarter notes and changing the noteheads to a slash and hiding the stems. Had I known this trick, I guess I could have written rests and used slash notation.
Oddly, this didn't have the slur-removal problem.
