Creating ending with no ending number still shows a little dot
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
I don't want an ending number to show up in the second ending, there's no need to. Therefore I make the following selections.
1. Repeat Selection Tool
2. Graphic Repeats: Ending
3. Ending Number(s): (empty)
With this selection I still get a square with a little dot where the ending number would be if I had chosen one. If I delete it the whole created repeat disappears. Will this little dot be printed? Is there some way to get rid of it without loosing the whole repeat graphics?

It does for me. The space needs to be in the lower slot, not the upper slot.

Yes, I put it there. I've tried both deleting the number 1 in the upper slot and to let it be there. None of them works. I see that you have version 26 something, I'm still on 25. That could be the reason.

I just tested this in v25 and it works as it does in v26. Did you look at my picture and file? If you can't see my results there, please post a sample file here and I'll test it to find out the problem.

P.S.: It appears my file has not been downloaded yet, so I guess you haven't had a chance to see what I did.

Yes, I can see it now.
I need a break, and I have things to do tomorrow so it may take a while. I can solve it by moving it out of the page meanwhile. Or I might just put a "2" in there, there might be someone reading the score who finds it useful.

I realized a regular space didn't actually work in my file, so I put a blank character slot instead. That seems to work. I reposted my file with the fix.

Greetings!
If you go to document options > repeats, there's a tick on the menu at "add period after number". Remove the tick and you're sorted!

I'm guessing he wants a period on the 1., though.Andreo Basisto wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 8:44 pmGreetings!

With that option selected, you can still have a period after the number if you want. See attached file.

This solution seems to be the best one in this case. Thanks!Andreo Basisto wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 8:44 pmGreetings!

There's no number by default as it seems when making the first ending. That's why I didn't mention anything about it. But as you say, if I'd want the first ending to be numbered but not the second one, it would be a problem.
