Hello is there a way to change the default rests (the way the measure fills out after you move to the next one) to be dotted quarters in 12/8? Right now mine constantly revert back to quarter and eighth rests, and it is a real pain to have to go in and change them all manually.

Have you tried the option available in the Quantization settings?
