I am using Finale 25 on a Macbook Pro (high Sierra).
I have purchased a set of music which I was to download and read, and see correctly in Preview prior to printing. However, when I actually print anything out, the noteheads (not the the stems) are all missing.
Sent it to my wife's P.C. who printouts were perfect.
I went back to some very recent PDF's which I had saved and they all printed out perfectly.
Can anybody help.
Thanks

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about PDF files - right?iangjonesx wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 4:06 pm… I have purchased a set of music which I was to download and read, and see correctly in Preview prior to printing …
When printing the PDF files, in what program did you open and print them? - Preview? - Adobe Reader?iangjonesx wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 4:06 pm… However, when I actually print anything out, the noteheads (not the the stems) are all missing …
- Or did you perhaps try both Adobe Reader and Preview?

Thanks Peter.
Printer defaults to Acrobat, but I closed Acrobat, opened file with "Preview" and printed off a copy with all noteheads showing perfectly.
Thanks so much for your tip.
I am wondering how this happened though.....maybe because I imported it from an International sauce.??
Anyway, problem sorted.

It is well known that Preview is more “PDF tolerant” than Adobe Reader.iangjonesx wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 2:35 am… Printer defaults to Acrobat, but I closed Acrobat, opened file with "Preview" and printed off a copy with all noteheads showing perfectly …
However, you can try this:
Open the “pesky” PDF file in Preview.
Use Preview to create (export) a new PDF file from the “pesky” PDF file.
Chances are that the new PDF file will print correctly in Adobe Reader.
