Something that's always bugged me with Finale since v3.0. The stems of beamed notes (not flags) are too long for my liking. Usually I can live it, but there often places where I need to shorten the stem with the beam angle tool, which takes ages.
I can of course change stem lengths in Document options, but this is global and (unless I use a different flag symbol) it makes normal flags crash into their noteheads.
Hopefully there's something simple that I'm missing. Thanks

Have you tried the Patterson Beams plugin?
