Finale 2014 Windows 10

I am using both music notation and guitar TAB. I have a chord with staggered notes and when I drag it down to create TAB, the TAB is misaligned. Is there a trick to straighten it?

Thanks.

If you can post a sample file here, we might be able to troubleshoot for the cause.

P.S.: If you're talking about Layer 2 notes that have been either manually moved, or maybe 2nds that have been moved by automatic spacing settings), you can use Special Tools/Note Position Tool to get them to align. When in the appropriate layer, select the handle and press backspace. The automatic spacing setting doesn't seem to affect TAB, so when applying Note Spacing, for example, these TAB numbers should stay aligned. If this is not your issue, then again, please post a sample for our examination.

I suspect part of the problem for me is when I'm working on a score I tend to work in both directions, writing out something in regular notation and then dragging down to make TAB, and versa visa.

I don't see that note position tool. This is an older version of Finale (2014.5)

I was able to do as you instructed. I have a vague memory that there is another way to do this same process? Just curious.

But it did work, so thanks.

It's in the Special tools Palette. I believe you can also shift notes in Speedy Entry.
